Meet the Staff

 Dr. Ted Schupbach is a 1977 graduate of Oklahoma State University. He has worked in large and small animal medicine and surgery for over 48 years, most of them in Taos, New Mexico. He has been the practice owner of Taos Veterinary Clinic since 1979 and is deeply committed to the Taos community. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, hiking in the countryside with his dogs, skiing, and is a well-known, excellent cook. He has one son, two daughters, and 5 grandchildren.  

 Rachel Plympton, DVM is a graduate from Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a one year, large animal internship with emphasis on surgery at the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada. She’s the mother of two elementary age children and a 5th generation sheep rancher in the Moreno Valley. She practiced mixed animal veterinary medicine and surgery in eastern Montana for 7 years before moving back to Northern New Mexico in 2019.
